Turtle Cove Golf Center - Pelham Bay Park, Bronx

Where:
City Island Road in Bronx. (It might as well be in Pelham Bay Park even though technically it is not.) Subway: 6 train to the Pelham stop, then the B29 bus and a 20 minute walk.

Here's the Story:
Turtle Cove Golf Center is just down the street from Pelham Bay & Split Rock Golf Courses. It serves as their de facto driving range. Stop by before a round and hit a bucket of balls. A large bucket is 130 balls ($13) and a small bucket is 70 balls ($9). You can take lessons there, or throw a private party. They have a PGA golf camp for kids. The range is wide open with ball markers up to 250 yards. The tee off is a slight horseshoe, so if you toe one it could hit somebody a few tees over..something a member of the Let's Play family learned the hard way!

What's More:
They also have miniature golf and batting cages for baseball and softball. If you stink at golf, but are good at baseball make yourself feel better by taking some hacks in the cages. For $3 you get 25 swings with speeds ranging from slow to very fast. They have bats and helmets with face masks.
